Delicious cranberry bliss bars made with sourdough discard for a unique twist on a classic treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the sourdough discard until fully incorporated.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  8. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into bars.
