Description

A delicious and easy one pan meal featuring tortellini, sausage, and spinach.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add olive oil and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually about 5-7 minutes.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, stir in fresh spinach until wilted.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  7. Serve warm.
