- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons ceremonial-grade matcha powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup high-quality white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish. Line it with parchment paper, letting it hang slightly over the sides.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fully combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- Sift the flour and matcha powder into the bowl, add the salt, and gently fold until just incorporated.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips carefully without overmixing.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool before lifting them out and slicing into squares.
