- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for glazing)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cooking oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Stir in melted butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour until combined.
- Gradually add remaining flour while kneading on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to around 350°F. Fry donuts for about 1 minute per side until golden brown.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with vanilla extract and enough milk for desired consistency. Dip warm donuts into glaze.
