Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions, ensuring it’s al dente.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the raw shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Sauté the cubed butter in a separate saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic, stirring until fragrant, around 30 seconds.
- Whisk in the flour, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, cooking for about 1 minute to form a roux.
- Pour in the heavy whipping cream slowly, whisking constantly until combined. Bring the mixture to a simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, creating that signature creamy Alfredo texture.
- Combine the cooked fettuccine and shrimp into the simmering sauce, mixing well to coat every strand.
