Description
A hearty and comforting stew served in a warm bread bowl.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large bread bowls
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides.
- Stir in onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add the beef broth, carrots, potatoes, celery, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until beef is tender.
- While stew is cooking, prepare bread bowls by cutting off the tops and hollowing them out.
- Once stew is ready, ladle it into the bread bowls and serve warm.
