- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Cane Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 3 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Walnuts
- 1 cup Dried Cranberries
- 1 cup Milk or White Chocolate
- 8 ounces Dark Chocolate
- 1 cup Crushed Peppermint Candy Canes
- 1 cup Sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare Vanilla Dough: Cream the softened unsalted butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and salt. Gradually blend in the all-purpose flour.
- Flavor the Vanilla Dough: Divide the dough and fold in walnuts and cranberries in one half, and milk or white chocolate in the other. Shape into logs, wrap in plastic, and chill for 2 hours or overnight.
- Prepare Chocolate Dough: Cream the butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Melt the dark chocolate and mix it in. Gradually add flour, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Flavor the Chocolate Dough: Fold in crushed peppermint candy canes. Shape into logs and chill for the same duration.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice logs into ½” to 1” thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-16 minutes until edges are set. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
- Optional: Sprinkle with extra crushed candy canes after baking.
