Savory Chinese Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry for Busy Nights


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons Pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 pound Boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coarse black pepper
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Finely chopped ginger
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the low-sodium soy sauce, vegetable broth, pure maple syrup, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Warm up olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced chicken breast and sprinkle with kosher salt. Sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the finely chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry until the onion turns translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets and add coarse black pepper. Stir-fry until the broccoli is tender-crisp, around 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour the soy glaze over the chicken and vegetables, stirring well to coat everything evenly and cook for an additional minute.
