Deliciously sweet and comforting, candied sweet potatoes are a perfect side dish for any holiday meal.

- 4 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, combine sweet potatoes, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer sweet potatoes to a baking dish and pour the syrup over the top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender and the sauce is bubbly.
