Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the zest of one lemon.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake before serving.
