- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce (Soy sauce can be used)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme (Dried Italian seasoning can be used)
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (Butter or another oil can be used)
- 2 cups Beef Broth (Vegetable broth can be substituted)
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch (All-purpose flour can be substituted)
- 2 pounds Potatoes (Peeled and Chopped) (Yukon Gold recommended)
- 1/2 cup Milk (Cream or non-dairy milk for lactose-free options)
- 1/4 cup Butter (Olive oil for dairy-free option)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Mix until just blended for tenderness.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté sliced onion and minced garlic.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Whisk in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
- Boil peeled and chopped potatoes until fork-tender, about 15-18 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and parsley until smooth.
- Once cooked, coat meatballs in gravy and serve over garlic herb mashed potatoes.
