Description

Plum crisp is a cozy twist on the classic crisp. It has buttery oat topping, jammy plums, and just the right balance of tart and sweet.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds plums
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Pit the plums. To easily pit them, run a knife all the way around the plum, cutting down to the pit. Twist the two halves apart and discard the pit. Slice the plums.
  3. Sprinkle the plums with the sugar, flour, and water, and stir. Place them in the baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, and salt. Cut the butter into small pieces and cut it into the topping mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread it over the plums.
  5. Bake it for 40 minutes until the topping is brown and the filling is bubbly.
