Delicious Krembo: Easy No-Bake Marshmallow Treats to Love

- 12 Shortbread Cookies (Alternatively, use Golden Oreos.)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 0.5 cup Water
- 3 large Egg Whites
- 0.25 cup Additional Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste or Extract
- 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff
- 1 cup Chopped Chocolate
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable or Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- For Golden Oreo cookies, separate them and place them creme-side up on the baking sheet. For shortbread, roll the dough out to about ½ inch thickness and cut into round shapes. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown, then allow to cool.
- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water, heating until it reaches 240°F. Meanwhile, whip the egg whites until frothy and add additional sugar. Slowly pour in the hot sugar syrup while continuing to whip until stable.
- Fill a piping bag with the fluffy meringue mixture and pipe generous peaks over each cookie.
- Chill the cookies in the freezer for about 30-60 minutes.
- Melt the chopped chocolate and mix in vegetable or coconut oil for a smooth finish.
- Once meringue has set, dip each cookie into the chocolate, ensuring full coverage, then place on a cooling rack.
