- 1 cup Soy Sauce (Base for the marinade)
- ½ cup Honey (Balance sweetness)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil (Optional, adds richness)
- ½ cup Water (To dilute the marinade)
Instructions
- Prepare Eggs: In a pot, cover the eggs with water, adding salt and vinegar. Bring to a simmer, and gently cook for 6 minutes.
- Cool Eggs: Transfer the eggs to ice water for at least 10 minutes to prevent overcooking.
- Make Marinade: Combine garlic, green peppers, optional red chili and green onions, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and water in a container.
- Marinate Eggs: Peel the cooled eggs and place them in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Rest Eggs: Refrigerate the eggs in the marinade for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
- Serve: Enjoy the eggs chilled or at room temperature, possibly with hot rice.
