Delicious Almond Cherry Cookies

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup dried cherries or 3/4 cup fresh cherries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix until combined.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Stir in sliced almonds and cherries.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Cool on sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
