Description

This Grilled Neapolitan Cake Sandwich Melt combines the nostalgic flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream between buttery, golden-toasted brioche slices. The result is a gooey, crispy, and irresistibly indulgent dessert that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices brioche or white bread
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1 cup chocolate ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1 cup strawberry ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup strawberry sauce
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread 1 tbsp softened butter on one side of each bread slice. The buttered sides will be the outer layer for grilling.
  2. On one slice of bread, spread vanilla ice cream; on another, chocolate ice cream. Add strawberry ice cream in the middle to create the classic Neapolitan trio.
  3. Scatter sliced strawberries over the strawberry ice cream layer and drizzle chocolate syrup and strawberry sauce for added richness.
  4. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out, and press gently to seal. Repeat for the second sandwich.
  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Grill each sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp, reducing the heat to low if needed to prevent over-melting.
  6. Slice in half, dust with powdered sugar, and serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping.
