- 4 red onions
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Instructions
- Peel and thinly slice the red onions.
- In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the peppercorns and mustard seeds to the mixture.
- Place the sliced onions in a jar and pour the hot vinegar mixture over them, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Let cool to room temperature, then seal and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
