- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sourdough discard, molasses, and brown sugar.
- Add the vegetable oil and eggs, mixing until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
