Easy Homemade Garlic Knots
Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (for topping)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the salt and olive oil, then stir in the flour until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces. Roll each piece into a knot shape.
- Place knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush this mixture over the warm knots.
- Sprinkle with salt before serving.
