Description

Experience the warmth of Garlic Butter Bowtie Pasta with Ground Beef, a comforting dish perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Bowtie Pasta (Farfalle) (Can substitute with penne or rotini.)
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 ratio preferred.)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Can substitute with avocado oil.)
  • 1 medium Onion (Red or yellow; adjust amount if desired.)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Fresh minced garlic preferred.)
  • 1 cup Beef Broth (Vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.)
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (Omit for milder flavor.)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Aged cheese for richer flavor.)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (Basil or oregano can be used.)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside without rinsing.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and sauté until softened and golden, about 5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate minced garlic into the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart while cooking. Sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain excess fat from the skillet, leaving a tiny bit for moisture. Pour in the beef broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up brown bits, and simmer until reduced by half.
  6. Stir in red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste. Gently fold in the cooked pasta to coat with the sauce.
  7. Drizzle a bit more olive oil over the pasta for extra gloss and flavor before serving.
  8. Top with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley for flavor and color. Optional: add cracked black pepper or lemon zest.
