Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cream together the cane sugar and softened butter in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and almond extract, mixing until combined into a smooth blend.
  4. Combine almond flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl, whisking together.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space in between.
  7. Top each cookie with sliced or whole almonds, pressing them gently into the dough.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
