Description

A hearty and flavorful soup inspired by traditional cabbage rolls, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic.
  2. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the cooked beef mixture to the crockpot.
  4. Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the cabbage is tender.
  7. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the uncooked rice and let it cook until tender.
