- 6 cups Chicken broth (Homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup Half and half
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (Low-sodium if desired)
- 1 teaspoon Hot sauce (Optional)
- 1 cup Long grain white rice (Uncooked)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly cracked, adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (Grated)

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery; sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, mustard powder, paprika, and chili flakes; cook for 1 more minute.
- Stir in flour; cook for 1-2 minutes to avoid a raw taste.
- Gradually add chicken broth while stirring to prevent lumps; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add chicken thighs; cook until completely cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in half and half, soy sauce, and hot sauce.
- Add uncooked rice; simmer until rice is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Ladle soup into bowls; garnish with Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and parsley.
