Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 0.75 cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 0.5 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 large Large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second increments.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, packed brown sugar, large eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy, then slowly add the melted chocolate mixture.
- Sift together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, looking for set edges with soft centers.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
