Cheesy Hot Honey Chicken Quesadillas combine sweet honey and spicy jalapeños for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 4 pieces Flour Tortillas
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 pieces Fresh Jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes until golden.
  2. Mix honey and hot sauce in a bowl. Toss cooked chicken in this mixture to coat.
  3. Combine sour cream, chopped jalapeños, lime juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in another bowl. Stir and refrigerate.
  4. Place two tortillas on a flat surface. Layer one with cheddar cheese, add hot honey chicken, and top with more cheese. Close with another tortilla.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the quesadilla for 2-3 minutes each side until crispy.
  6. Remove, cut into wedges, and serve with jalapeño cream sauce and garnish with cilantro.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken with steak or beans for a vegetarian option.
  • Adjust honey and hot sauce to taste.
