Delicious Apple Pie Jam Recipe for Cozy Fall Canning

- 6 Peeled and Diced Apples
- 2 cups Apple Juice
- 1 small Lemon (Zest and juice)
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 3 tablespoons Powdered Pectin
- 1.5 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 0.5 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 0.5 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 0.25 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 0.25 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 3 cups Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- In a large pot, mix together the diced apples, apple juice, lemon zest and juice, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes until apples are tender.
- Stir in the warm spices and vanilla, then gradually add the powdered pectin while stirring.
- Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a full rolling boil.
- Add all of the sugar at once, maintaining a rolling boil for 1 minute while stirring continuously.
- Ladle the hot jam into 5 half-pint jars, leaving headspace at the top.
- Remove air bubbles by running a knife around the edges, clean the jar rims, and seal with new lids.
- Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes, adjusting for altitude if necessary.
- Let your jars cool undisturbed at room temperature for 24 hours.
