Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, toasted almonds, toasted hazelnuts, breadcrumbs, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and optional lemon zest. Stir until everything is well incorporated.
- Use your hands or a spatula to mix until you achieve a cohesive blend, approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Press the mixture firmly into a suitable mold or shape into bars with your hands, about ½ inch thick.
- Allow your alfajores to set for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Once set, dust your alfajores with powdered sugar to add a snowy elegance.
